Plaxium® to bring reliable broad-spectrum activity to cereals

Plaxium®, a new broad-spectrum fungicide from Bayer with proven efficacy against five key wheat diseases, will simplify fungicide programmes while protecting yields.
Authorised for use in wheat and barley, Plaxium® is a three-way formulation containing Iblon® (isoflucypram), fluopyram and prothioconazole.
Of the co-formulated fungicides tested in AHDB trials, Plaxium gave the greatest control of brown rust, was comparable to other products against Septoria tritici and was either better or equal to other products against yellow rust (see next story).
Plaxium® can be applied once per season to wheat, barley, oats, rye, triticale and spelt up to the start of flowering (growth stage 61) at a maximum rate of 1.5 Litres/hectare meaning growers have the flexibility to apply it at either T1 or T2 timing depending on the seasonal disease pressure and other modes of action in the programme.
For more information on Plaxium® and where to position it for greatest benefit in a programme visit the Plaxium on the Bayer website, or speak to your regional Bayer representative.
