Before you start you’ll need a few things so that we can get the calculation right...

• The location and size of your field
• Thousand grain weight (if you have it, otherwise use typical values for the crop)
• Germination (if you have it, otherwise use typical values for the crop)

The calculation will provide you with a result for your field which can be saved for future reference. We will retain some of the information for statistical research, but personal information will not be shared with any third parties.

Enter the target plant population you are aiming to establish.

Enter the actual TGW from the seed bag if you have it, otherwise use the pre-loaded 'typical' value for the crop.

Enter the actual germination % from the seed bag if you have it, otherwise use the pre-loaded value.

Take into account estimated plant loss due to CSFB, slugs, sub-optimal seed bed conditions etc.
