Importance
A perennial plant, seeds germinating in spring. Common throughout the UK in both arable and grassland.
1. Small oval cotyledons: 4-5 mm.
2. Ovate leaves opposite in pairs with conspicuous dense short hairs.
3. Small white flowers with cleft.
