Importance
Common in winter cereals. Germinates in spring and autumn.
1. A large seeding with spade-shaped, hairy cotyledons.
2. The first true leaf is hairy and regularly toothed.
3. A prostrate annual with small blue flowers which dies away in mid-summer.
