Indicates nitrogen. Widespread in vegetable crops, sugar beet and peas.
1. Cotyledons are sharply pointed, hairy and small.
2. True leaves are also pointed and hairy, dull dark green in colour, often with a purplish tinge.
3. A bushy annual with white or yellow flowers.
