An extremely wet winter and spring, followed by 50 days of intense heat and very little moisture – 2017/18 was another season of unprecedented weather conditions, making oilseed rape, a crop already tough to grow, even tougher.
To help discover how other oilseed rape growers in the country are tackling these challenges and where you might be able to optimise your unit cost of production, we have created the OSR Big Picture Quiz, which finds out how you tackle key agronomy decisions throughout the oilseed rape season from establishment through to harvest.
The first 200 people to complete the quiz and leave their address details will receive a Bayer flask. And if that isn’t incentive enough, we will also create a report combining all the results from the quiz and identifying the trends that could help you maximise your unit cost of production. To receive the report, make sure you sign up at the end of the quiz.

From establishment to harvest we can provide insight about crop management and protection to help maximise yields.
Through extensive analysis of national independent data from the past five seasons, this report shows the impact of the challenges faced when growing oilseed rape, and how you have responded.
The aphid that carries the turnip yellows virus (TuYV) has been found in every area of the UK this summer. Growers need to keep a careful eye on their oilseed rape crops, to avoid seeing yields drop if this virus is found in their fields.
