Criteria:For a farm making a valuable contribution to school life away from the farm, whether it be covering curriculum activities, setting up a school farmers' market or helping with growing activities, as not all farms are conducive to hosting educational visits, the emphasis is on bringing expertise to the school.

Phil Smallwood was presented with his award alongside Helen McNabb, from Manchester Airport, by category Judge Janet Hickinbottom (left) and FACE President, Lord Henry Plumb (second right).
The category judge Janet Hickinbottom trained as a secondary school teacher and has worked at FACE since its inception in 2001. She is still in awe of all the excellent - and often unsung - work that farmers are doing to help young people learn more about food, farming and the countryside.
