Criteria:For a farm which is making an outstanding contribution to an understanding of careers in the countryside. Activities may include offering work experience, supporting vocational qualifications and promoting the many and varied jobs in the countryside.

Countryside Careers Award

David Rose was presented with his award by judge Peter Brain (left) and FACE President Lord Henry Plumb (right).

The judge Peter Brain is the Head of Development and Regulatory Affairs for UK/Ireland at Bayer CropScience. Peter takes every opportunity in his business dealings to explain the role agriculture plays in helping to feed a burgeoning world population. As such he is a big supporter of FACE with its aims to increase the understanding of food production in children and teenagers linked to farm visits.
