Just as I thought spring was coming, BANG, back to snow and frost. While the quantity of snow has not been a problem the rain that helped to melt it has, taking the soil back to being saturated.
The wetness has been clearly demonstrated by the bee keepers getting their Land Rover 90 stuck to the axles in the plumb orchard: Marjorie.
They say a Land Rover can go almost anywhere all the time and this has been my experience.
It appears Marjorie is almost unique in more than the biodiversity; maybe the ability to sink a Land Rover is part of the attraction to the wildlife too!
