Black-grass remains one of the biggest problems facing arable farmers; however, in recent seasons better understanding of cultural controls and judicious use of herbicides have helped many farmers achieve better results.
The Bayer and Orion survey aims to understand which techniques farmers are using successfully and which aspects of weed control are still causing problems. The results of the survey will help ensure that products and services meet the needs of our farmer customers.
The survey takes around 10 minutes to complete and asks about the cultural and chemical control methods that you use to control black-grass and other grass weeds on your farm.
All participants in the survey have the opportunity to be entered into a prize draw to win a soil test from FERA worth £250. The soil test is part of the ‘Big Soil Community’ and will analyse soil bacteria and fungi which can be used as a measure of soil health.
Soil tests will take place in Autumn 2019, more information at https://www.fera.co.uk/big-soil-community.html
