A very important timing for the control of light leaf spot, following an autumn application of Proline275, as well as growth regulation.
Prothioconazole or Folicur (tebuconazole)
To protect the crop from re-infection from light leaf spot. Plant growth regulation and canopy manipulation.
Monitor crops from 1st January onwards. Treat as soon as light leaf spot is seen before stem extension or 15% of plants infected early stem extension.
How to use:
- Inspect crops regularly from 1st January onwards
- Collect plants in a diagonal across the field
- Incubate plants in polythene bags at 10-15 °C for three days
- Apply 0.32-0.63 L/ha Proline275 as soon as the threshold is met.
Proline275 contains the leading fungicide for the control of light leaf spot, prothioconazole. Its dose rate flexibility allows for split applications with varying rates to suit the disease pressure in your area. Proline275 will also have a usefull effect on any established Phoma infections that are present in the spring.
