Product Overview

(Active substances: fluquinconazole)

Galmano is a seed treatment for winter wheat that provides you with dual-purpose activity. It gives early protection against foliar diseases, especially rust, as well as reducing damage from take-all.

Why Galmano?

As a dual-purpose product, Galmano delivers excellent value for money. In situations such as consecutive or second wheat crops, where take-all can be a threat, Galmano can help you to reduce damage to roots, promote vigorous growth and increase yields.

In rust-susceptible varieties, we recommend that you use Galmano to provide early rust control during the over-wintering phase. Using Galmano will increase the effectiveness of following treatments for rust control.

Main advantages

  • Reduces take-all damage on roots
  • Increases vigour and yield
  • Enhances drought tolerance
  • Strengthens stems and reduces lodging
  • Provides early control of yellow rust
  • Ideally suited for co-application with Redigo Deter

Getting the best from Galmano

Quality of application is crucial to making sure that you get the best out of Galmano. Using a Bayer CropScience approved treater will ensure that you receive the maximum benefit from your investment in the product.

To maximise the effect of Galmano on sown crops, use after mid-October.

When using Galmano on rust-susceptible varieties, it should be followed with a normal programme of foliar fungicides.

Important things to remember

  • Galmano must be co-applied with a single-purpose fungicide treatment to protect against seed-borne disease

Galmano as part of a programme

Galmano should be used with a following programme of foliar fungicide treatments including products with robust control of Septoria such as Aviator235 Xpro (bixafen and prothioconazole).

When using Galmano for the treatment of take-all, the crop will benefit from a take-all active treatment in the early spring from a product such as Fandango (prothioconazole and fluoxastrobin).
