Annual weed found in arable land and wastelands throughout Britain.

1. Cotyledons oblong and curved over at tip. Leaves are light and bright green.

2. Mature plant is erect and leafy with small white flowers. Produces flat and circular seed pods like pennies. Plants smell when crushed.

3. First true leaves oval and later leaves have projecting teeth at tip.
