Importance

Found on sandy soils in south and eastern England.

1. Three lobed cotyledons with small bristly hairs.

2. Divided, long stemmed hairy leaves in procumbent rosettes.

3. Peduncles 1-2.5 cm in length. Long narrow seed heads, hence stork's-bill.

4. Rose coloured flowers, late spring - middle of summer. Sepals 4-5 mm, pointed at the tip.
